A mix for you. This is a smooth mostly 'mainstream' trance mix I did last night. →[More:]It's airy and happy and accessible. This is a departure from the usually hard and crunchy techno-noise stuff I do that sounds more like the DJ/artist Surgeon - fast and loose and bent out of shape. This mix is the opposite of that, smooth and melodic and mellowish. I did this to prove to a few music peers I know that doing that kind of stuff is easy for me, and that the crunchy-noisy-sloppy "freetechno" type stuff I do is intentional, not purely accidental or haphazard.

This mix was done in Traktor DJ Studio 2.5 without a cue channel. Which means I'm doing all my beat matching and synching and mixing visually off of the waveforms and meters. It would be similar to DJing a set on a PA without any headphones. What you hear in the mix is what I hear while mixing it - there's no monitor channel I'm using or anything.
