Yes, this is one of those MeFi threads where it's obligatory for someone to point out that these are scans from the books which are still on sale, and how dare someone disrespect a poor author's copyright like that?

After that, someone else points out that its actually the publisher that owns the copyright, and why should we care about a big soulless corporation anyway?
