On August 16th Captain Rob's Vikingship made of 15 million ice cream sticks was launched in the water... the ship passed all the ests and cruised the Amsterdam waters without any problems. [credit to Mr. StuporStar]
Heh, thanks for the via, kimchi. It was all I could do to stop myself from posting it to the blue.

Oh ok. I saw the boat a day or 2 ago. Jaw dropping just for the building skills - didn't know it had launched already. I wonder what the betting figures are for success?

That's fantastic. I saw it on the news last night. It's so much cooler than the Portuguese boat made of wine corks.

I'll be damned. That is a fine looking boat.

Man, him and his kid must be real tired of popsicles...

Or "lollys" as it were. How the British could confuse popsicles and lollipops is a question for the ages.

I think it comes from "ice lollies," and maybe (but here I'm guessing) lollipops are/were once called "lollies?"

By the way, Spongebob Squarepants makes a tasty ice cream (sherbert, actually) novelty.

Hmm, well, so you did. Well within your rights too as you are the flag-claimant after all.

I guess there's no reason to worry about the mattmonster spoiling our fun then.

Well within your rights too as you are the flag-claimant after all.

Ah, I wish this were true! But, according to my calculations:
  • languagehat was the claimant of 9622.
  • I was the claimant of 9723.
  • You yourself were the claimant of 9824.
  • 9925 has yet to be claimed (shhh! don't tell anyone! I would claim it myself but my login has been vaporized.)

vaporized? wha? The entities thing? I thought you were grandfathered in.

I merely claimed 9824 as a scout in your honor.

I vaporized myself. Long story (ok, not really -- I just think my schtick is better suited to here than Mefi).

As for the scout thing -- hmmm, that's interesting! But what does that mean in light of Mr. Hat's claim to the mother thread? I'll need to consult some real estate lawyers.
