How utterly bizarre. He needed someone outside of all of this advising him. How could he have signed off on a business deal naming Lynch 99.5% owner of Traditional Holdings and not known about it, as he claims?

What a terrible tale!

Sad and awful that his trusted business manager screwed him over so thoroughly, but I also just don't buy the accountant's story.

He noticed all this happening, yet j u s t c o u l d n ' t m a n a g e to get in touch with Cohen definitively? He wrote letters. He didn't notice that they weren't answered? He didn't pick up the phone? Bah.

I love Leonard Cohen and this makes me very sad. I have nothing more to say that won't sound like dimestore philosophy, but I'm completely baffled that anyone could feel smug on hearing this news. I have a feeling that a great many musicians and other creative people who love him will find a way to help him out of this.
