well, I've been away on vacation for 2 weeks, I come back and there have been 441 links and 15167 comments posted on MeFi while I was away.

it certainly is less interesting than it used to be, but it doesn't look like a ghost town to me, really. 1000 comments and 30 links a day is not that bad. and that's not counting MeTa and AskMe

Ah, no. It was a "this-document-contains-no-data" (or something like that) nastygram.

So. There's still trouble with Mefi downtime, but these days it seems to me that more of it has to do with periods when something is being tinkered with, instead of the former out-of-the-blue server tantrums.

I can't see mefi at home anymore (I dunno my ISP hasn't turned around the RTAs on the BBWs or something for the new server), and I don't have time to visit at work.
