Too late. NASA already launched the Mars Destroyer Probe.

Though I'm not sure if they even know what the Mars Destroyer Probe will actually do, which is part of the beauty of pork-barrel politics.

I heard that the Mars Destroyer probe will destroy Mars. But only for the purposes of rebuilding it to be a better member of society, less angsty and willful and stop it from going out every night doing its level best to get pregnant off a skeezy biker. Do a bunch of trust falls and that.
