New Diablo II patch is out! Also tomorrow they are reseting the ladder. I am guessing nobody cares but me. =)
weretable, I happily sacrificed many hundreds of hours to Diablo II and the expansion. I still miss my sorceress and assassin, but fear I'd never leave the house if I started playing again.
Ha, agro! Totally. And sneaking in 'just 15 minutes' only to hobble to the bathroom 5 hours later after realizing that stomach ache was actually your bladder at capacity.
I confess to using the codes that increase difficulty in the game (reasoning that it wasn't making things easier), mimicking having extra players in my party so I could have a better chance of getting powerful items. Doing that long enough demonstrated that the better (not even best) items were like lottery jackpots, while the lesser items were comparatively easy to come by. It got frustrating seeing the same set items turn up again and again. But mostly, it twigged me to the odds of the system.
I liked 1.10 because it made it possible to find the really high runes and uniques - not entirely easy but possible and made the game more challenging. I allowed my accounts to expire though when I didn't have time/desire to play. But I am going back to the game for a while since in the new patch (1.11) they have added a bunch of uber bosses to fight (including tougher versions of meph/diablo/baal all at one time) and it's probably the only game I have played that I can keep going back to over and over. Rumors are that Diablo III is being worked on right now, built on the World of Warcraft engine. *shrugs*
