Music Practice Haiku →[More:]My younger son plays piano and percussion, and I've noticed there is a distinct difference in his approach to practice on piano versus drums. While pondering this on my drive to work the other day, these haikus came to me:


Piano practice
Music, player, in concert
Like lovers entwined


And the drum: rhythm
Empty without melody
Motion, but no love


He's been telling me he feels he is more of a piano player than a drummer; I think I am starting to figure out why.
