* The big ass building with the baseball cap roof is the new opera house. Building cost: 400 million US dollars. Insane.

* The big ass black house is the "Black Diamond", i e the Royal Library.

* The amusement park is Tivoli, founded in 1841.

* The place with the grafitti is Christiania, the free town founded in 1971 where Scandinavias cannabis fiends get their shit going...

mr. marx, of course we missed you! I've never had a tebirk in my life, but now I really want one. Usually, when I go on a "surprise" trip, it's to somewhere like Des Moines, so I am both glad for you and envious.

FYI a tebirk is like a danish without the vanilla creme/jam/chocolate/whatever. You eat it for breakfast like any other bread, but it's obviously sweet as hell. Wonderful.

Amberglow: Lousiana, not this time, no. But I happened to catch a huge Warhol exhibit there in the late 80's. Been a Warhol fan ever since.
(And you need to go to Stockholm, too ;))
