I love the combination of short depth of field with what appears to be a wide angle lens. Gorgeous contrast.

Beautiful work. Best photograph of Walken I've ever seen. I like the one of Angelina Jolie, too.

I have to go to my mother-in-laws birthday party tonight. The upside is they're having it in an Italian restaurant and I can enjoy them mispronouncing the menu.

Yes, please. I'll have the roast-a-CHEE-a-nuh and a glass of chee-ant-ee. Thanks.

I almost never type this, but... lol.

matteo, they did mispronounce gnocchi, but after awhile they were doing just to watch my forehead vein throb. But the meal was good. I had some antipasto caldo (clams mussels & scallops in spicy plum tomato sauce), veal saltimbocca, and some tiramisu and cappucino.

oh my sweet Italian Jesus.

giovanni, non fare l'americano -- no self-respecting Italian would drink cappuccino after dinner

blame it on the Irish in me, mio fratello. And blame my bad spelling on the irish in me, too, all that whiskey.

And I just had the leftover veal for lunch. Mmmm, good. Pip's family is of Lithuanian-Jewish extraction, but her Uncle Sam ordered the calamari fra diavola and asked for extra gorgonzola on his salad. Maybe he has a wop in the woodpile. This joint leaned towards my moms region of Italy, Gnocchi, gorgonzola, minestrone and risotto are what Lomabrdi is famous for.
