Ladies and Gents, The Polyphonic Spree This is what happens when musical hippies breed. (Takes a hella long time to get to the main pages, but when you get there, it's not remotely worth it.)
If it's not worth it, why should I click?

The Polyphonic Spree is rad. Have you even listened to their music outside of the few songs that became popular? Or are you just judging them because they're barefoot and wearing funny clothes?

Mudpuppie, you'd probably like 'em.

*shrug* I like 'em, but they're best live. In the same sense Parliment Funkadelic is best live. It's a happening, an experience.

But then I like joyous, zany, soulful music. I've had enough angst in my life that I don't need to act it out in my music. But then, I've seen GWAR a handful of times.

But if you don't even vaguely like hippies, you probably won't like them. But they're not really hippies.

Yeahh, I saw them open for David Bowie a while ago, I think right before or right around the time their first album came out, so there was an arena of people who had no fucking clue what was going on when they started piling onto the stage one after another, but by the end of their set we were all won over & they got a near-unanimous standing ovation. One of my friends had to be talked out of buying an official robe.
