Corpse Tennis: Players, meet your opponents.[More:]

Round One
iconomy vs. ethylene
taz vs. me3dia
Slack-a-gogo vs. moonbird
mudpuppie vs. omiewise
papercake vs. MightyNez

Names listed first have first serve. Emails will go out shortly, detailing the rules, etc.

I think eth and I decided between us that she was going first, me3dia. Hope that doesn't gum up the works for you. This is going to be a lot of fun...thanks for putting it together for us!

No problem at all, iconomy & eth. I was guessing from previous discussion.

Got the email. Thanks for setting this up, me3dia.

Stupid question: so... these are going VERTICAL instead of HORIZONTAL (like the Emcee), yes?

Yes. See the Corpse Tennis page for examples.

No deadlines, but try to get the sections turned around relatively quickly. In past matches, my partner and I gave each other up to a week to complete a section. That was waaaaayyy too long.

I leave it up to the players to pester each other to keep the corpse moving.

ethylene, that is sick and wrong. plus, you need 483 more. ;)

Cool cool cool. Thanks me3dia for setting this up. You are hardcore with your corpses. I was getting used to the MeCha "cheaters corpse" where the sliver from the previous slice is actually the first 15 pixels of your slice. That gives a little room for blending, layering, and what not. But I'm psyched to try it this way since it'll force me to polish up on my skills. moonbird - expect a slice later tonight.

Slack, there's plenty of room for blending and such -- you just have to be careful and not change the strip. The blending is done in your own section. For instance, I sent a player this:

And she countered with this:

Notice how the brown blur on the right was extended down into the image of a caramel apple she found? It blends perfectly, but all she did was keep the strip in a separate layer from the rest of the image, so that she could match it without altering it:

You can still see the line, but it blends well enough that it practically disappears in the finished corpse.

I didn't change a thing about the strip you sent me for emcee iii set three -- just lined stuff up.
