They're showing it on CBS here..it's not good.

No, not good. I watched it last week and was roundly embarrassed for all involved.

All of the contestants are young and foxy, though. The men with just the right amount of stubble, the women with just the right amount of hair.

I think this is even sadder than selling out. It's one last grasp at straws before they begin the summer county fair circuit ("...stick around for Peoria's best Molly Hatchet tribute band Gator Country, but first, put your hands together for INXS!").

Boy is that ever crass.

Dave Navarro looks more and more like an end-of-the-pier hypnotist every day.

Personally I don't have much to say about INXS - I think they're better remembered for Hutchence than for any of their records. Suicide Blonde anyone?

someone smack some sense into that navarro
he becomes more horrifying by the minute

You know if Hutchence had survived he'd now be fronting The Doors instead of Ian Astbury.

How's that for parallel universe style irony?

damn you
i have a cult/metallica story for another time

There's no such thing as selling out.

INXS played pop music. Or new wave. They weren't a rock band in the first place.

And since pop is all about selling, selling out is the goal.

Kudos to them for strapping wheels to a dead horse.

I used to love INXS. I still like a lot of their songs. But the band was over the moment Hutchence offed himself. This is sad.
I fell in love with Mr. Navarro when he rocked the socks off of One Hot Minute. Then I found out he was that creepy dude from Jane's Addiction...

This is one of the most excruciating things I've read about in a long time, and I didn't even like INXS in the first place.

I'm just too sensitive for this world.

I'm just amazed that so many people think that winning a contest to be lead vocalist in a washed-up band is some kind of coup.

Also, INXS were OK at what they did, but too much of the world seems to think that all rock and roll means is music with guitars and wearing leather.

All I know is, rock'n'roll ain't noise pollution.
