Maybe someone can explain to me how to make this IRC thing work. I tried downloading it, but the zip file I downloaded (EIRC-1.0.3.zip) has no executable files or any apparent way of installing it. So now what? How do you make it work? Pretend I'm your grandma or your retarded uncle.

I've tried both Firefox and IE. Firefox always says "IRC is not a registered protocol," and IE sits there like a stupid cow with an "invalid syntax" error.

okay, what you need to do is install Chatzilla in firefox. After you've installed it, close firefox, and reopen it. Then click on the link above and wait for it to load. You should be prompted to give a nickname.

Yep. Then I put in my nickname (goatdog), and it says "This channel is invite-only. You must have an invite from an existing member of the channel to join."
