Which MeFites have the best nicknames? →[More:]

I'm partial to the elegant simplicity of names like languagehat, five fresh fish, bugbread, and soyjoy; while for immediacy and sheer euphonic goodness, nothing beats fishfucker.

Also, I think dios is the perfect name for our resident rightwing MetaFilter villain. It's forceful, iconic, and looks strangely sinister on-screen. (But perhaps that's just my associating it with this guy.)

I've always liked amberglow. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy, like hot chocolate beside a toasty fire. And loquacious because that's the coolest word ever.

as a word sound, it's hard to beat quonsar
it tend to like solid single words i can remember
like cedar azul ook
or in joke phrases i love or loathe

i like mine because it's equally forgettable/memorable
and easy to lose on the net
