"Unauthorized and Proud of It" free screening. Any Mefites (a) living in San Diego, (b) attending the Comic Con there, or (c) living in London: come see a documentary I helped make.→[More:]It's about Todd Loren, the publisher of Rock 'n' Roll Comics, who, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, published unauthorized comic biographies of rock bands and got sued a lot for doing it, right up until someone murdered him. It's showing at the Radisson Harbor View at 7:00 and 9:00 pm on Friday the 15th. Sadly, I can't go because I'm broke. I also can't be at the screening in London on the 20th at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, but maybe you can.

It looks good, and I look forward to seeing it on DVD at some point. Sadly, I can only make it to Sunday of the Comic-Con this year.

Yes, I know, all four days are essential, but I'm only getting back into town late Saturday.

I can pick up some extra manga schwag for anyone who's interested, though.

But, again, the movie looks cool. I'll pass the word around.

Cool Goatdog! Too bad I'm not a, b, or c.

ethylene, there's a strong chance I'll be there with my comics gang (or some subsection thereof) we're still in the throws of deciding whether or not to do a late-coming booth or just show up with our stuff and do more of a guerilla trading thing. (Our return on MoCCA was fair, but I think we're a little tired). Maybe there's a chance that goatdog can do some convincing to get it shown down spxpo?
