I was reading that thread when it konked out, so:

Minor Theft:
Somebody at the ad agency for Nike Skateboarding must be a Minor Threat fan -- they recreated one of the band's album covers for the marketing of Nike's Major Threat Tour. Did they ask permission, though? No.

Listen, I'm gonna talk about Rainbow here. Dio was in Rainbow, *Ritchie Fuckin' Blackmore's* Rainbow, alright? Don Dokken didn't have shit to do with Rainbow, so we know where he's coming from. Tony Carey was in Rainbow, too, and Dokken never did anything nearly as good as Fine, Fine Day, but we ain't talking about Tony Carey, are we? Ronnie James Dio! Now if you wanna talk cocks of rock and who's got the biggest, maybe, MAYbe, you could mention Scorps in the same sentence as Dio, but Dokken, Don Dokken? You may as well say Don Was! Alright, so he's not shredding it like Maiden, but the aforementioned Tony Carey is well worth a listen. I think it's out of print, so MCA and the MPAA won't mind if you fileshare. It's out there.

actually, as far as Dokken goes, I am pretty much a big poseur. I just like saying "Who's rockin? Dokken!" Motor head I like, although I don't really have an encyclopedic knowledge of them. Best thing about Motorhead is that, one time I had to drop about two grand on my car because of a leaky head gasket. I was really bummed about this, and was complaining to my friends about it. Every time I said somethign like "and then they had to take off the entire motor head-" they'd stop and demand that I say "motor head" in the proper Motorhead rock voice; and by the end of that, I was in a way better mood.

So yeah, Lemmy is always there to help.
