Best. Post. Ever. But seriously, since we've already explored the Worst Possible MetaFilter Post, what would it take to achieve the BEST? Something that everybody, left and right, oldie and newbie, techhead and luddite, blogger and blog-adverse, Mac, Linux AND Windows, Miguel and quonsar, would like? Is it possible? Something that could bring us all together?

I figure Katie Holmes becomes a Suicide Girl and single handedly brings down Scientology, Christianity and the Bush Government using iVirus, which propagates through the internets using a Portuguese cigar and wine afficionado's recommendations.

That about cover it?

Hugh, if "worst" in the other thread means Universally-Disliked, then "best" in this thread would mean Universally-Liked. Not pure "popularity" - otherwise, I'd post about "Dancing With the Stars"...

(Hmmm... most UNPOPULAR MeFi post about a POPULAR subject... there's a possibility)

I think it would have to be collaborative. You, wendell, would have to be one author (leader?), and you would have to work with y2karl, ParisParimus, matteo, steve@linwood, digaman, dios (nod to the newbs), amberglow ; > and languagehat. And if the nine of you can avoid the need for a Security Council it might actually work.
