When I was in high school, I'd go up to my bedroom with my girlfriend to make out. My folks would invariably show up at an inopportune moment (but lets face it, in what moment would they be welcome?) and we'd quickly shevel ourselves and go say hi. They'd ask what we were up to in my room, and one of us would say, "oh, just chatting."

Eventually, "chatting" became a code word for "necking," then "petting," then "fucking."

After a while, all the chatting started to mess up our relationship, and "chatting" became a code word for "fighting," then "crying," then "struggling," until she was gone and it fell into disuse, supplanted by "wishing" and "moping."

Why tampons, of course!

When you are not around we spend all day talking about the size, shape, and color of the best tampons. Also tampons we have used in the past. Tampons we wished we could try. Tampons that we keep coming back to.

We never, ever chat about your private parts.
