same here, iconomy. been looking for a female surrealist named Lenora Carrington(?) since i saw her work in the women's museum in DC ages ago. i don't think they reproduce well.

a long time ago, ARTnews gave away the first art CDrom i'd seen, and i was amazed at how well the pieces represented, between a picture and a slide.

That article in the new yorker a while back about trying to record the 3d quality of tapestries just goes to show how some stuff needs to be seen in person.

Honduas is a beautiful and undiscovered country, though like anywhere in the 3rd world it will break your heart. I like this picture--and is the kid on the right wearing a D.C. subway T-shirt?
