It is a - most - provoking - thing when a person doesn't know a cravat from a belt!
I just decided that I actually like it, in that "creepy calliope music from a b grade horror movie that signals that a totally unsuspecting minor character who thinks everything's going swell is about to be murdered" kind of way.

Ah yes, Austen FanFic. I thought the best part was when a character called Darcy "Darce" in the first little bit (how can anyone who's read P&P think that Darcy would be friends with someone who called him Darce?!?), but this may be better than that:
