Brad's wacky bracelet is one of those woven/knotted-string friendship bracelets that were all the rage for like a few months to a year - probably most popular just before those cheap day-glo fabric covered plastic slap bracelets were so hot, and just after those hideous multicolored rubber o-ring bracelets (Which have recently become popular with the kids again for some strange reason.)

Memes moved much slower then, and often took strange and embarassing physical forms - usually manufactured en masse in Taiwanese child slave labor sweatshops.

I wore a friendship bracelet for five years. A girlfriend gave it to me in the 8th grade. I wore it around my ankle all through high school. It was just loose enough for me to clean around it.

Every other girl I dated asked me to take the bracelet off, but I was true to my first love.

It fell off after my first year of college. Rotted until it snapped. It was disgusting, really. I got an infection once or twice because of it.

And when it came off, I just threw it away. And that makes me really sad right now.
