Yeah taz...it's crazy! Strangest was reading (and I only read about 2 pages) quotes from MeFi on TiVo BB commenting on each other. Someone in there described it like looking into a mirror with a mirror behind..echo....echo......echo. And now it's even stranger talking about one group talking about another group from another group.

Ok, one thing I really don't like, and yet find an almost irrestiable temptation, is posting in one's own thread, where every other comment is by the poster, defending its merits. But since we're in the meta-meta, I'll try to explain what happened:

It was, indeed my 30th birthday, and I thought I could do an interesting post about ageing, and the artificial milestones in life, and the whole industies set up around the inevetiable degeneration of the body and death. Not in a didatic "I've been thinking a lot about the inevetiable degeneration of the body and death recently" way, but just by providing interesting links.

Obviously, it didn't work out. I didn't find enough content to make it interesting, and I couldn't make it hang together. By if I failed, I failed because I flew too close to the sun. Yes, that's what I did.

Oh, by the way, and this is just personal opinion here, but stuff like this,
this and this is just shitting on the thread. If you don't like the thread, posts like that aren't going to make it better. (This, however, I can respect)

Yeah, this kind of annoys me too. I don't mind the occasional witty slapdown, but most of the "me too"s are a bit tiresome.
