Is it possible to allow images in comments, but not on the front page? I think that would give those who need/want to a chance to do some filtering.

I absolutely 100% agree with you, and I was happy to make this place a 247, images all the time, party zone. But I discussed it with taz and neither of us can really keep an eye on this place all the time. Most people, let's face facts, will be reading this from work and if I have to chose between either scaring them away or disallowing images then the images have to go. And it just wouldn't make much sense to ban them from posts and not from comments (I did consider that though). Sorry.

Having said that I do want images back but it'll take time until I can come up with a good solution that keeps everyone happy.
