About the Third of Six. Since it will be the topic de rigueur for the next few days, let's just get it out there. So if you've seen it, say so. If you've anything to add to the multitudinous reviews, feel free. If you just want to slag on the franchise as a whole, you've had plenty of opportunity.
It's going to suck. I'm still going to go and see it.

God, I feel stupid.

i'm so damn cool/isolated/sad, lonely and alone/drunk i didn't understand what this thread was about until i looked at the link.

was thinking third of six sounded like some art house film about a large family growing up in the south. the third oldest being the star, obviously.

When I was Nine - an excellent essay that really spoke to me
vs
Watching Star Wars 28 Years Later which seemed nitpicky as all hell.

There is only one Star Wars movie as far as I am concerned - the original and it is one of my favourite movies of all time. That "28 years later" link is exactly why I have not watched the movie for many years now, because I am afraid that it will seem as corny as hell.

After I fell asleep during the endless pod racing scene in Phantom Menace I have not felt the need to see any more of the boring boring boring boring boring boring prequels.

Boring!

Dumb question: Weren't there supposed to be nine Star Wars films? I thought that after episode 3, we were to get 7, 8, and 9 over the next decade or so. But everything I hear about episode 3 refers to it as the last Star Wars that will be made. Am I just imagining that there were supposed to be nine?

LarryC- Lucas originally wrote the script for all six movies as one film, but later decided to divide it into separate episodes. There have been many rumors about a supposed third trilogy... concerning the fall of the Galactic Empire and the rise of the New Republic, however, the original script did not contain any material after Return of the Jedi.
