He can check out anytime he likes, but he can never leave.
So I've got more time on my hands these days and don't really seem to have any extra time at the same time and I'm finding this conundrum to be puzzling. Not really a bother but puzzling. I'm knocking things off my list, I'm getting things done even without the eternal scowl hovering above me.
I'm happier since I quit my job, possibly because standing up for one's convictions is a great catharsis.
And as the one door has closed, for you can never reopen the door with that particular boss. She don't function like that. Anyway, with that door closing, there are several others that are opening right up and I'm finding myself looking at companies and asking myself if I could see myself working for them. Not if they need me but whether I'd work for them.
So, how about a little more of what's important to me?
