VE Day →[More:] (Vaccine Effective Day) So today is two weeks since I received the second dose of Moderna vaccine.

Among other things I went to dog adoption event for a local rescue. I made the acquaintance of someone interested in adopting and we had a nice chat. He is also vaccinated. At the end of the conversation we shook hands... the first time I shook hands with anyone in over a year.

It's so bonkers that we've gotten to the stage of ascertaining someone's vaccination status as part of initial meeting....

Kinda like dogs sniffing butts to gain important information...

Texas seems to be making great strides, at least in the denser areas. I think it's spotty in the rural areas.

Apparently the centre where I had my first vaccine has had supply shortages and cancelled appointments for second vaccinations - but failed to let anyone know. My second one is due on 26 May, so I hope any glitches will be sorted out by then.

Congrats Doohickie. Got my first shot of AZ Oxford about 20 minutes ago. Scheduled to get the follow up in mid August.

I am not sure I'll ever go back to shaking hands again. Fingers crossed for you Senyar.

Whoa! So 11 hours hours after the shot the immune response really kicked in. Every joint and muscle aches. I am off to bed and I think it might be one of those 12 hour deals.
