Someone from the org called me this afternoon and asked what my previous experience in politics was and I said, "signs my yard." She asked, "You haven't canvassed?" "No." "Phone bank?" "No." "Nothing? Really? Then what made you decided to volunteer?" "I think Texas is close to turning blue and I should do something to make that happen." Once I said that, the skepticism in her voice faded away.

I think the only thing that'd mobilise me right now is if there was an actual campaign to reverse Brexit. I would fight tooth and nail to restore my EU citizenship.

I wrote letters ton potential voters and it was quite satisfying; I hope it helped.

My former daughter-in-law lived with me in Nov. 2008; helped her register and vote. She is now registered and voting elsewhere, but still got 3 charming Please Vote postcards.
