Sign-ups for people aged 60 or over with no underlying health conditions opened on Monday and I signed up straight away. I get my first jab next Wednesday and the second on 26th May. It's at a community hall about 3 miles away and I'm told there's parking, which is always a bonus in this part of the country.

Congrats you two. I got three people scheduled for theirs. My 98 year old neighbor and two first nations friends so that is cool.

When Indiana lowered the age to 60 two weeks ago, I signed-up immediately with both the state and an area big-box store's pharmacy. I got my first jab Tuesday at a big-box store. I go back in a couple of weeks for the second poke. The state-run vaccination center couldn't get me in for my first shot until March 26.

I got my first shot a week and a half ago and the second one in another week an a half. Yay for obesity!

Which brands did everyone of you folks get?

I cannot get either my mom or me scheduled because there's a massive demand and few slots hereabouts. They will not even put anyone on a list until they randomly open up slots. The slots fill up in 50 to 80 mins.

Maine opened the next tier, 60+, on Weds; I got my 1st jab on Friday. I'd been signed up. When I saw the call, I was so emotional, and again when I pulled in to the venue. It was well-organized, many volunteers, and everyone was happy and in good spirits. Personally, I can't wait to see friends and family again, just go out. On a larger level, it's happening, the vaccine is flowing, lives will be saved, the economy can recover, kids can go to school and teachers can feel safer, and so on. I want the whole world to have access to this.

I've stopped thinking about when I might get the shot. It just makes me agitated for no reason. I'm just focusing on getting others in.

Which brands did everyone of you folks get?

Moderna, here.
I'm told Indiana has a large Moderna distribution center somewhere, and that's why we seem to be largely a Moderna state.

Pfizer. Rite-Aids here seem to have either all Pfizer or all Moderna.

Moderna, as did my wife. My son got J&J (he's an educator)

Here in Indy, they've set up a drive-through vaccination area out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I believe they're doing the J&J there.

First jab done today! I felt very emotional about it. It was all very efficient, with stewards directing people to the parking area and into the vaccination centre. The vaccinations were being administered by military staff, so there was the added bonus of men in uniform too.

Word is that come May 1, there will be no restrictions on who can get the shot here in the U.S. I think that's excellent.
