Spring is here! →[More:]The sun has been out today, although it's still a little chilly and breezy. Feeling a little antsy and in need of some exercise, I borrowed a neighbour's dog and went for a walk in the forest.
The hiking paths had a few people on them, but I walked off into the woods where Teddy and I had the place to ourselves (along with all the wildlife, of course). We had a grand old time playing with sticks. I throw them, she picks them up and runs round with them but doesn't understand that she needs to bring them back. So I have to find another one to throw, and then she has to decide which one to pick up, whether she can fit them both in her mouth or just leave them both there and run around a bit more. Whatever, I inevitably end up fetching the sticks I've thrown myself.
We've had a very wet winter, and the forest is still very muddy, although not the quagmire it's been up until very recently. Teddy, being so little, did get a bit muddy, but as she's not my dog, I don't have to give her a bath!
