Mrs. Doohickie sprained her ankle a couple weeks ago, but it wasn't getting better so she went to the orthopedic who told her the ER got it wrong: Not sprained, broken. Four more weeks of "the boot."

My friend who was hit by a car while on his bike and broke his shoulder a couple months ago is off the IR: He took his first bicycle ride yesterday.

She must be one stoic person...that sounds like a terrible thing for two weeks with "just a sprain"...yikes.

I do love that phrase "just a sprain". Sprained my ankle a few years back and it was 12 weeks before I could walk mostly properly again.
