What a lovely surprise in the mail ... →[More:]... an update on Pan's Feral Cat Colony, with a lovely photo of Ginger and Pan (who is looking somewhat evil).

You are a good man, arse_hat, to give so much of your time and care to these animals, building them 'computer cave' shelters and overseeing their health and wellbeing.

Happy New Year to you, my friend. And thank you for the little note about Lucy too. 2018 will bring a new cat into my life, I'm sure of that.

I'm happy it got there so fast. I left things until much closer to Christmas than I had planned.

Pan does look a bit evil. She is all about being quiet and dignified and a bit mysterious. It seems to work for her as the other cats seem to give her a wide berth.

I do miss the occasional appearance of Lucy on my screen. She was always a bright point.

Thank-you for the kind words.

Some good news today. I've been feeding someone other than Ginger and Pan but I haven't seen who. This afternoon I found Wilson sitting on the table and fed him. He looks good so I think he must be the one who has been eating the extra disappearing meal. Hopefully I can trap him when the temperatures go up.

I had a lovely letter and photo of the kitties as well! Canada Post examined it, so they may have enjoyed pictures of the kitties as well.

The stamps are lovely, too. So glad to hear nice news of kitties.
