1. Meeting some friends at Panera for lunch today. I will be getting the mac & cheese even though it's the last thing I need. And kidlet is getting her own mac & cheese so I don't have to share.

2. I had my annual review this week. It was very good, which was a relief. I know my manager would have been working with me if it was going to be bad but I still feeling a bit rough from the disaster that was 2013.

3. I have 4.5 hours of meetings Monday, which is a lot of me. My brain will be fried by the end of the day.

1. My four person team at work got moved to a new manager last week and it looks like that means that I'm no longer in QA and am a developer. I think that's a good thing.

2. Got the new computer that I built up and running and have been playing too much Civilization: Beyond Earth for my own good.

3. In the cold and dreary section of winter now, not much going on.

I had all the sicknesses at once at the first of January but was back at work by the 5th and haven't had a single day off since. Today was just another work day.

My neighbor's bday was yesterday so I'll go over to visit later today.

It's a cold rainy day here with 3 inches of rain since yesterday.

Since getting in from work today, I've concocted something that's cooking in the crock pot so I'll have food for the week. Now, I'm sitting with much needed catlap.

1. I spent pretty much all day yesterday sleeping and have only gotten out of bed today at around 1pm. So I really need to get moving on my chores.

2. There's supposed to be chances of snow and other weather ick coming up in the next few days which I am not looking forward to. My office pretty much NEVER closes and since I lived closest to it--I kinda always have to go in. (Granted, my boss is the best boss and he has never given me any kind of problems when I've called and said that I can't get out of my parking lot. Or if I need to leave work early before things ice over completely.)

3. So far this year I've been finding that if I keep my house fairly tidy and on a regular schedule in terms of doing chores that it definitely helps my mood in a BIG way. I'm definitely going to have to continue working on that, especially because I often feel once I get home from work that I am basically done for the day when that so isn't the case.

1. Sunday morning here and I'm trying to type quietly because there are six teenage girls sleeping on mattresses on the floor due to youngest daughter having a sleepover.

2. Love having a decent car after putting up with a pile of junk for so long, but annoyed that the dealer didn't fix a couple of things he was supposed to and said he would. Have to take it back Tuesday and make him deal with it. There's no way I'm accepting it as it is. Kind of takes the shine off that 'new car (new to me, anyway) feeling'.

3. One more week of holidays and then back to work (having five weeks off after no holidays for 12 months). Kind of looking forward to it, but having to go back to my regular super high-pressure job as my writing gig has ended :-(

1. We're happily TV cave bound in the January doldrums. Weather has been 40's & rainy for 3-4 days then 1 day of sun forever it seems like. The backyard is mush. Not quite ready for spring (a few flakes would be nice) but getting close in another 3ish weeks probably.

2. New leads are starting to bubble up, still with no advertising, so Hopefully all the work we did in 2014 has gotten us some traction & 2015 will be more of the same.

3. I think I've perfected my white bean & ham soup! There's a batch in the crock pot now & should be yummified fully by dinner.

1. I was supposed to run a half marathon this morning, but the weather was such shit (a few inches of snow overnight then freezing rain) that I bailed. I don't mind running in cold and rain, but the potential for slipping and hurting myself was too high. I am super bummed though. And kind of jealous -- my running friend who also bailed managed to talk her way into a sold-out half marathon in Central park tomorrow. She has a much more flexible husband than me, so I would never have even attempted it.

2. Friend's birthday tonight and we got Ethiopian food, which is in my top three favorite cuisines. Then I left early to bring the kiddo home (still well after her bedtime). Husband stayed out so I am now about to take a bath.

3. Have a massage booked tomorrow (bc I thought I was running a tough race today) so that will be nice.

Mr. Kitty Kat is gently gnawing on my left hand. Something he has not done since he was little.

1. Snow day Tuesday! I see it as a chance to redo Sunday, when I got some things done but was not as productive as I wanted to be.

2. Just planned and booked a train trip to Florida with my sister for July. July seems very far away with all this snow.

3. Been working hard and getting some nice overtime money, which will help greatly towards paying for the train trip.
