The azaleas are blooming,
the hummers are zooming
and turtledoves are crooning.
Noisy lawnmowers chart paths through the truculent weeds,
and flyover birds stop by to have seeds.
Children trail fingers through thick coats of yellow;
outside once again, we give Spring a warm hello.
