I am really getting into the Tao Te Ching I find I can apply its principles almost immediately. e.g.:
Me: *worries about being late, or a delayed refund, or something*
Me inspired by the Tao Te Ching: *doesn't worry. walks around feeling comfortable.*

There is a bit of overlap with Stoicism (
previous Mecha thread) but I think but there are significant differences in that I think Stoics try to actually strive for some things, whereas Taosim (at least in this text) is more into melting away all effort and strife to discover the reality of how one should be.
