I'm glad that this weekend there are no relatives! It's been a lot of family recently, and it's all been pleasant but a break is just fine with me.

Also I got a nail polish color that I've eyed for a while as a gift last weekend and I just put on the first coat which looks great. So I am thankful for nail polish gifts.

Thankful that the weekend is pretty low-key and that my Mom comes to town on Wednesday!

I am thankful that by mid-June, life should return to normal, and every weekend between now and then means one less weekend of insanity!

Thankful I get to have lunch outside in Bryant Park almost every day. w00t!

Thankful my work pool is going to win the Powerball this weekend! I'll be riiiiiiich!!!

Thankful I got a promotion so I don't have to look for another job for a while.

Thankful I won't be pregnant for much longer. I want normal-sized hands and feet again.

A friend is coming to visit me on Saturday and pick me up after work so we can go out and narf down on theworldsbest onion rings. Yay!

SO thankful that I got my enormous final paper done and in on time, even if it took me til 3 AM last night to finish it, and even if it's not that great. SO thankful the semester's over and in front of me is the first weekend since January with NO deadlines, NO reading to do or lectures to view, NO events at work, NO commitments to anyone, NO volunteer work and NOTHING to worry about! Thankful to finally have time to get the garden in, read, walk around, welcome summer and not feel stuff hanging over my head.

I'm thankful this weekend for friends - a crowd of us last night at the Bowie Exhibition, Eurovision tonight (yay!) and running tomorrow.

I'm thankful for living somewhere near nice cafes. In honour of Eurovision, I treated myself to a Turkish breakfast this morning (yes, I know Turkey isn't in Eurovision this year, but that's splitting hairs).
