Today! I have moved myself to a place I've always wanted to live, and I found an awesome rental. I was driving around today and realized this is the first time since just after college when I was living someplace lovely and not accountable to anyone. It's a feeling both liberating and terrifying.

And my fantastic friends and family have made me feel very special over the last few months, with immensely generous offers of help and support as I get my new life off the ground. I've been seriously awed by how willing people are to help when I just get out of my head and *ask*.

And I should have specified, that includes just asking someone out for a meal or coffee. I get socially anxious and I've been trying to push myself to initiate contact more often, and it's paid off so much. I really love all the folks in my life.

My sweetie brought me some flowers yesterday! Yellow tulips. They are very pretty. They made the dog feel special, too; she ate the one that fell on the floor. Weirdo.
