Where can I buy a used cell phone in Manhattan ASAP? Son's cell phone broke. The Samsung Intensity II. He wants another one or facsimile or simulacrum or whatever. Verizon wants $280 for a new one!!! No! no no no no.→[More:]

What should I do, Craig's List? Needs to be in next 48 hours, so no ebay or other places that would need to mail it.

Try King Digital Wireless (used to be Sunny's) in Chinatown for phone repair. Usually cheaper than trying to find a replacement. At one time there was a counter in one of the big Hong Kong supermarkets where you could get phones fixed or unlocked for super-cheap, but last time I was down there I didn't see it.

If there's no chance of repair, there are some other shops down there where you can get pretty much any phone that works with a US carrier (and many that do not), but I'd check with King Digital Wireless first.
