At times it was like an oldstyle text adventure game. "It's dark. You might be eaten by a grue"
"You are carrying too much. You have to drop something."→[More:]

Mostly, though it was miserable. My DSL and phone service is still out. Internet of any kind is spotty.

However:
"Hey, it's not just you! http://metafilter.com looks down from here."

I hope you had water and a flushing toilet, at least, in the worst of it - and that things are back to normal for you sooner rather than later.
