backstory - mama dog the OP fostered adopted 5 orphan kittens, in addition to her 3 pups, and insists they are her babies too. She has been cleaning, nursing and protecting them as her own.

OP is apparently bottle supplementing the kittens on KMR just to be safe, but says cat/dog interspecies adoption has been done before and is a known quantity - the kittens aren't at any major risk of malnutrition from this either.
