04 June 2012

I'm going to defriend this acquaintance in a minute. [More:]I don't really know her. She works as an usher in the theatre scene in Toronto. I'm not super offended by her tweet, but I think it is, in general, indicative of her stupidity. I'm giving her a few minutes in case she has some cogent response.
Is today a holiday?

What the person referred to tweeted before was that her birthday is the anniversary of the Tienanmen Square Massacre.

But as I have mentioned many times, the day I was born, September 30, 1955, was the day James Dean died (for the record, I entered the world hours before he left, so no reincarnation jokes please). There's even a movie about the day, and it was definitely a downer. So what?

Oh goodness, I am so dying to say something snarky back to this woman, but I am behaving.

Snark away! That's what tweeting is all about!

My birthday is both same day (not year) that Jim Morrison died and is the same as Tom Cruse's birthday.

Events happening on my birthday include Chernobyl, Guernica, and several large-scale natural disasters.

My friend's kid was born on September 11 (not 2001). NEVER FORGET!

(And I don't.)

Jim Morrison and my grandfather's birthday is also the day John Lennon was shot.

If you neither know her that well, nor like her, go ahead and defriend.

Nothing too note-worthy happened on my birth date.

I can't imagine actually putting so much importance into my birthday that anything related could disturb it. I do realize people like to celebrate their having been brought into the world. I'm just not one of them. Honestly, many years I've forgotten and I often have to think a minute before I remember how old I am.

I would let her go if I had the tweeting. Seems a little too self-important to me.

Everyone always had trouble remembering my birthday, until it became the day Michael Jackson died. Now it's easy

Shallow and self absorbed isn't your thing? Imagine that! I'd quit following her too if that helps any.

This is pretty much what Twitter is for.

MY FIL's birthday is/was September 11 and it, of course, was never an issue. This woman has delusions of grandeur.

I would let her go too. How awful. I remember the day Tiananmen Square happened. It was horrifying and unreal.

Is this the most awesome possible fried egg sandwich? || What does your style of glasses say about you?
