Weekend plans 3-point update. [More:]
1. North Weald Market tomorrow, if I get up in time. If it's after 9am and I haven't set off, I won't bother going. When I get there early and leave early, I pass long, long lines of cars all on their way to the market. If I have to sit in traffic for an hour or more, it's not worth going.

2. Sunday morning, a run with the good friend I've made at the running club, probably just a short run, 5km or so. I'm hoping the weather'll be good, we're planning on meeting at a local fishing lake.

3. Last day of the Premiership, all games kick off at 3pm on Sunday, and although it's looking as if City will win it, it's still all to play for, and City's opponents (QPR) are fighting to avoid relegation, so I'm hoping QPR will come through for us. Nail-biting stuff, for sure.
1. Going to try a new pub for dinner.

2. Need to get the back bedroom finally finished, not much left to do at this point: install the 1/4 round base molding, fix the weights in one window and two coats of semi-gloss on windows, doors and baseboard. We've never used that room in almost five years of owning the house so it'll be nice to put it into service finally. We had to have it rewired, stripped all the wall paper, patched the plaster on the walls, scraped and sanded the woodwork, primed the ceiling, walls and trim, painted two coats on the ceiling and walls, had the floor sanded and varnished. At some point we'll need to replace the back window where they took out the wooden sashes and replace them with hideous aluminum ones. The two 150 year old wooden windows are in great shape but the 30 year old aluminum one is falling apart. We need to get someone in to put Marvin wooden sashes in.

2. I think that I'm going to a play tomorrow but I can't remember what it is.

1. Probably working.

2. If not working and the weather is nice, gardening.

3. If not working, I might go to the opera on Sunday if I can convince myself it's not too expensive.

Friday: work. help my work buddy with his dirt-track race car

Saturday: go to Mom's. Fiancee and her are going to a play. Dad and I can probably ride motorcycles or something.

Sunday: mother's day at Mom's. Giving her some Habanero Gold Jelly instead of chocolate, since she specifically requested that.

I have a show tonight. I had a really excellent practice last night, so I'm feeling really confident about tonight's performance. I am getting really good with my character work (Anyone can just be 'funny'). It's hard to show development in a single short improv scene, but I'm getting there. Which means when I finally roll out my own show (in the fall?) it's going to be AWESOME. In both senses of the word.

I am going on a motorcycle trip next week (where I will see my sweetheart!). I'll see a bunch of my New Englander friends, too.

I made an appointment today (finally) to get checked out for sleep apnea. Which will mean either I figure out why I'm always tired and have no energy, or I rule out one more thing meaning it's probably "diet and exercise." That will probably mean leaving my current job, unless I start jogging on the train (I imagine the conductors will frown on that). The commute is brutal, I love everything else about my job (my boss consulted with me today. For my expertise! I have expertise (in something useful)!).

I don't know what we'll do tonight. I have some free tickets to an all-Gershwin symphony show, conducted by a guy who is pretty much the Gershwin guy of the moment, but eh -- I've heard 'em all. So we might just go see Dark Shadows :D

Tomorrow... hmmm. The car probably needs cleaning, because the pre-sale cleaning of the OLD old car resulted in the NEW old car becoming the junk car that the OLD old car used to be. Thanks, honey!

And then a low-key housewarming at a friend's gigantic new house -- maybe we should bring a plant.

Stuff-you-didn't-care-to-read part: I am writing my first-ever attempt at a getting-it-on scene, and even though it's really only heavy petting, it is HARD.

No pun intended.

Madamina: booze or something consumable is prolly better than a plant. Otherwise they might feel bad if it dies.

1. Was at NARA today. Took 2 pictures of comments made on Metro posters and I was retweeted by UnsuckDCMetro. I feel so proud.

2. Today I have a divination share, but I think I'm going to leave my house a bit early and go have dinner at Red Hot and Blue because I am seriously craving their nachos. (And I have a coupon for a pulled pork sandwich.)

3. Tomorrow, I have a teaching circle (where I'm being taught) at night and mom will prolly want to go out in the morning.

%^&*. I think I've screwed up my foot and might have that plantar facititis thing. Owwww

1. A good friend just emailed that she's passing through town Saturday midday, so we'll have lunch or coffee and catch up.

2. We moved around some furniture this week, but all the little things are still at sixes-and-sevens, so I plan to hunker down and reorganize things tomorrow night.

3. There is no number three.

1. Going to see The Avengers tomorrow. (Wish it wasn't in 3D.)

2. Sinuses are borked. (Wish sinuses didn't exist.)

3. Overdue for a shower. (Wish I could be magically clean.)

Sperose, stretch the soles of your feet as much as you can - cross your leg over your knee, grab your toes and pull them up. Do this often.

1. Decided I'm not going to see my family the next two weekend -- I'd go down for Memorial Day. Which frees up a day and means I need to call Mom on Sunday.

2. Things I must get done this weekend: dig up the gladioli and move the day lilies to the spots that killed two of the dwarf mountain laurel, sew my dust ruffle, move the computer desk to the den (previously known as the dining room), and watch at least one of the 3 movies my dad left for me (only I would think movie watching is a chore).

3. Plus I should do the normal stuff: clean, do my hair, etc. I'll probably read instead.

1. We're going to Dark Shadows tonight. We saw the Avengers last Friday, and it seemed like we were in the minority, being Whedon fans, and all.

2. Work early tomorrow, which I did not get done today.

3. Trying to get all my digital ducks in a row for the Leonard Cohen presale this Monday (there have already been some).

4. More than likely, drinking the iPhone kool-aid tomorrow, also.

1. Busy day today- left work early and went down to the airport to hang out with ufez for a couple of hours on his stopover on the way to the gulf coast. Fun! He is such a cool guy; if you ever have a chance to hang out with him, I recommend that you do it.

2. Found out yesterday we STILL HAVE FLEAS, so this afternoon I deployed the nuke. Took all three cats to the vet* to get an anti-flea pill and to keep them out of the house while I came back and set off flea spray bombs all through the house. Had to kill a couple of hours, open up the house and air it, go get the cats back, and whew... have just now settled in for the evening, 5 hours later. And if I see a live flea anywhere tonight, I'm going to FREAK THE FUCK OUT.

*2a. I've never taken all three of the cats to the vet at once before. It sounded like the Mustang Of The Damned in my car on the trip over and the trip back- such yowling and whining you've never heard. Everyone's happy to be back home.

3. Tomorrow we start vacation! We're heading to a state park up in the mountains to rent a cabin and just be away from the city for awhile. The park has gorgeous views like so, and we're going to stay in a cabin (with screened porch) that looks like this, and even though there's some rain forecast, we're going to have tea and beer and a stack of books, which really sounds like the perfect getaway to me right now.

1. Sleep in! (Except this will probably wake me.)

2. Maybe go to Dick Blick's and buy things. In which case I will also go next door to Cost Plus and buy other things including sesame snacks.

3. Do my Illustration Friday entry.

1. Sleep!
2. Clean!
3. Launder!

I realize this sounds pathetic, but I feel like I'm on the verge of getting everything in order, so I'm kind of excited.

With mine I used to call that "Chorale Pathetique."

5. I have three postcards left to buy and send!

I finally have all mine (got some today, some are from "the stash") but I won't be able to send them till next week.

My performance tonight was great. Yay!

I am starting to think I'm an OK guy. Overall.

1. "I don't feel good" is not a promising way to end a Friday.
2. This may devolve into ordering a large pizza early afternoon Saturday since that will get me through Monday's breakfast.
3. The possibility of many cat snuggles, whether voluntary or otherwise.

Chorale Pathétique is great. :-)

Now, now, eideteker, don't you get full of yourself! :-)
I'm not OK so you can't be either!

1. All moved in, though boxes labyrinth my room and tomorrow afternoon I need to finish at least identifying what's in all of them. I don't know what to do with a room this big anymore. Also my bed doesn't seem to fit correctly anywhere. Maybe I'll just put it in the middle.

2. I don't need a 2 because

3. Nothing that would ordinarily be worrying me is bothering me at the moment, because I have a stomach full of pad thai and spring rolls, and a head full of Kurt Elling and friends from their show over at the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild. Those cats sure can swing.

The weekend is winding down, so this isn't "plans," it's what happened.

1. Committed myself to having a PARTY on the 16th of June. (Y'all are of course invited if you can get here.)

2. Got a haircut, went to Target for the first time in months, then went to a powwow for the first time ever (where I spent nearly half an hour watching a guy weave a rug on a huge loom).

3. Slept really, really late this morning. Talked to my mom, who made me laugh so hard I could barely sit up. Found myself craving steamed brown bread, which I haven't had or even thought about in decades; ascertained that I already had the ingredients, so immediately made some.
