I am stuck in hospital for at least another day.→[More:]
I demand amusement.
Yeah I have gall stones and am waiting to have gall bladder ripped out. In the meantime I'm hooked up to an IV for fluids and antibiotics to calm the stupid thing down.
Well, give me two roach clips, a lipstick camera and an electrified wired and I'd do it for you.
Meanwhile, I'm not sure what you have access to in Oz.
Dropbox?
Amusement: you have everything you need at hand. Play with the adjustable bed, bedpans (unused) make great hats, sippy straws work well in nostrils, pour water from your plastic pitcher into your plastic glass then back into the pitcher, switch your position so your head is where your feet were, those socks work great as hand puppets, dive under the sheet as if it's a play fort, take your IV pole for a walk - call it Rover or Spot, see what it takes to make your jello melt by setting up several competin experiments, drink liquids using your thumb on straw/siphon technique, practice paper folding and origami with your napkin, that little box of tissues can be turnd into goastly finger puppets, see how many ways you can stack and stand utensils. Have a crazy good time.
Glad you're in the right place for what ails you. I've had that surgery and the pain from it is NOTHING compared with gallstone pain. It's no picnic, but some gallbladders are little bastards and NEED TO GO and I don't miss mine one little bit, except when I eat too much pork (YMMV). So, hang in there and good luck!
How are you doing today? Just a reminder, use a small pillow to use as counterpressure every time you need to get up. It really helps. I hope you're resting now!
