Santa tracking by NORAD These folks are way cool. A few years back I posted this to Metafilter and Santa had just left Toronto →[More:] and hovering over the flag I saw "Toronto, Ontario, United States" I sent an email titled Damn Yankees! Body:"When did you invade"?

Minutes later I got
"Kelly,

Our invasion attempt was thwarted! :-)

Thanks for catching that error. It's fixed now. Refresh your browser to see."

I also follow Santa with Norad every year. But for some reason, he never stops in Philadelphia.
Every year, he visits Wilmington DE, then Newark NJ, then New York city. But the naughty obviously outweigh the nice in Philly ... :-(

Last year I was one of the NORAD staffers who answered phones from all over the world while Santa was making his voyage. It was definitely a great time. I don't live anywhere near Colorado Springs this time around or I'd be back at the "Santa Operations Center" watching the big screen and letting folks know the location of Santa's next visit.
