The Giftstravaganza is a seasonally themed musical celebration of holidaytimes. It started in 2007 and 2009 as a "musical Advent calendar" and expanded last year, after some discussion, into a fun round robin of musical offerings for every day in the month of December.

Here's how it works. If you'd like to take part, copy the calendar list below and re-paste it in a new comment in which you sign up for 1 or 2 days to start with. That should give a good number of people the chance to offer some music. If we have days left over, we can then do one more round to be sure all days are assigned.

On your assigned day, please make a post about your chosen song containing a link. We used DropBox a lot last year which seemed to work, but if you know of something better now, please chime in and clue us in. In your post, feel free to add ancillary stuff, personal recollections, other tunes and video, links to the artist, etc.

Then, please come back to this thread and post a link to your new song post with the date. That way, we can keep this thread as an archive that leads to all the posts throughout the month. BP, will you kindly sidebar this thread for easy reference?
