Sounds fun! What's your game of choice?

Well, everything's virtual (no human dealers allowed), so it's slots, video poker or virtual craps and roulette. We like video poker ourselves, but I can't resist betting the max and going bust; Jon's more patient. But there are all those lovely bells and lights, like Vegas. You guys would like it, for sure, out here in scenic Ozone Park, as jon says.

Nope, no smoking, Octo (thank you, Mayor Bloomberg -- one of his few good moves, actually).

We're back home now, relaxing and digesting. It really was a fun outing. I look forward to when they finish the other two levels and the restaurants, including a steakhouse. Upstairs, I think the bar will look out on the racetrack, too. Very cool.

The casino sounds fun. The mister and I keep making noises about going to one, but have yet to do it.

Definitely, senyar... we'd have a blast (and we could use your luck!). In fact, Jon suggested a casino meet-up one day, and I second it, for sure. Sans car, you can get there via the A train, and the casino runs a shuttle. You gotta love a casino you can get to by subway.

(it is a kick, deb... you gotta watch out for the intoxicating lights and sounds, though; I like to set a certain amount I'll gamble with, in cash -- it's never very much (I'm no high roller) -- and that's it; if I lose, I figure it's just the cost of playing/entertainment; in the elevator, on the way back to the car, I joked with the people there, Anybody have any money left?, and one older lady smirked and held up two fingers)
