No, really, I have something in my eye, that's why I'm dabbing at them with this tissue.

Very cool story.

We had a blind collie when I was young myself. We had a big litter of pure bred puppies, and a recessive gene that hadn't been known when my family researched the stud dog and our dog caused a fully detached retina condition for her. Of course she was one of the puppies we kept and did not sell. Her littermate, who happened to also be the runt (ergo we kept her too) and one of my favorite dogs ever, appointed herself as guide and helper. She navigated well herself, having memorized our whole house and yard, but one of the joys of my younger years was watching the two of them together, particularly when they played. They looked like beautiful collie ballerinas.

Awww, so sweet! And whoever is holding onto the tissues needs to pass them around. *sniff*
