Image #20 shows the 59th Street pier in Ocean City. I don't know the history of the pier, but ever since I've known it's been sort of a broken down ghost pier. But it's amazing that it keeps standing. The picture looks like it's pretty torn up, but it didn't get washed away, according to another OC photoset I looked at today.

When we visit there in summer I go to Quaker meeting on the beach next to the pier. Obviously I have had plenty of time to contemplate it...
