Summery vodka cocktails Your recipes, I need them.[More:] I'm having a friend over for cocktails tomorrow but I have no bar ware so I was looking for something that only needs mixing or a blender. I was thinking about a milk punch but I don't usually drink a lot of bourbon and it seemed more wintry than the end of summer. I feel like I should attempt to be seasonal for what little is left. I have no muddler but I could probably fake it.
If you think of something with a different liquor or special booze of some kind, throw it in. I'm up for slowly stocking up on a decent bar or trying something new.
This is very good. ginger, lime, mint. Nom.

Vodka/tonic/lime is classic and very refreshing in warm weather.

Vodka/lemonade, too.

This is my favorite that is a varient on the above:

Take a pint glass, fill with ice cubes
Squeeze in an entire lime, throwing in a wedge or two.
Fill glass most the way with vodka (preferably chilled)
Put in just a bit of water (to taste but usually just a half shot or so)

This drink is super limey and cold; refreshing on a hot day. Also will throw you for a loop

Last night, we made regular gin martinis with bianco vermouth instead of dry (bianco is a white vermouth, drier than the red sweet vermouth, but still sweeter than the white dry vermouth one traditionally uses in martinis). It was very summery, nice and refreshing. Guy usually proportions martinis two parts gin to one part vermouth.

We mix a quarter shot of St. Germain into a regular vodka tonic and add some fresh squeezed lime juice. Very refreshing, adds a little sweetness but not too much.

I neglected to mention that it can be made with vodka for those that dislike gin. Just don't tell grandma.

I would not turn down a vodka & lemonade today. If I use storebought lemonade, I make sure we have plenty of lemons or limes on hand to tart it up a bit --- and I make sure to rub the lemon or lime all around the inside of the glass first to get those lovely citrus oils into the drinks!

Smirnoff makes lime vodka, which goes very well with Seagram's raspberry ginger ale.

I just saw that the title said vodka. I am an idiot.

I got the St. Germain and it is delightful. I love the bottle. This is my preferred cocktail of the moment.
