WHOAH! GABE KAPLAN! Apparently the former star of the iconic '70s television show "Welcome Back Kotter" is being sued for his winnings at poker lost by a hedge fund manager. That is, his investor's money. I guess they can "invest" in anything these days being basically unregulated. [More:]I'd often wondered what happened to him, and he hasn't really done a lot since his Kotter days. I always thought more of his wife in the show though, and she's done more. What a funny throwback for me hearing this on NPR today! OOOH OOH OOH OOH.

Signed, Epstein's mom.

OK, that was confusing. Can I buy an editor?

My name is Arnold Horshack. Horshack, it means "the cattle are dying".

My brother, as I have mentioned, used to work for the Lakers. You could go out of his office and take 20 or 30 steps and be at center court in the Forum. He used to comp me seats when he knew for a fact that the ticket holders would not be there. Once, he was taking us to our seats and this guy comes up to him high-fiving, glad-handing, and generally schmoozing with my brother. Turned out to the the actor who played Horshack. It was sad, that this guy had to resort to schmoozing with my brother, who's only claim to fame was that he ran the parking operation and handled a lot of money.

(Now, at Staples, his office is off site, and he works for a contractor, not the Lakers anymore . .not nearly as sweet.)

I wanted to share the story via Twitter, but when redirected to the mobile site, the link was full of bad characters. Oh, NPR, why haven't you fixed that?
